We believe that everyone has the need for meaningful and enjoyable interactions, despite their cognitive or physical limitations. That’s why our program is focused on engaging our participants mentally, physically, and socially. The results? Better sleep, increased engagement, and an overall better mood — for both our participants and their caregivers.
We employ Registered Nurses, a Board Certified Music Therapist, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Activity Assistants. We provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. We care for adults 18 and older with needs such as assistance with eating, toileting, ambulating, and dressing/bathing. We assess and monitor health conditions and alert family members to changes in health, which helps prevent hospitalization. Comments from our families include this statement from a spouse: “Your service and care make it possible for me to commit to home care for my wife over the long haul.”

Do you want your loved one to be well-cared for and have a better quality of life during the work week? Please consider Pulaski Adult Day Service & Fall Prevention Center. Our program serves people 18 and older who are dealing with being alone during the day, a range of physical problems, or early to mid-stage dementia, and would like to join a program which provides interesting conversation, goofing off, laughing, good food, care, and companionship.
We want to reach out to those families that need our service but don’t know about us or don’t know what adult day healthcare is and how we work with each individual to build on their strengths. Our people do amazing things here whether it’s rediscovering a talent that they had forgotten or discovering a new interest. We have a Board Certified Music Therapist who taps into memories through music and has a gift for reaching those who have difficulty expressing themselves. We have had people start playing the piano after years of not playing or start painting or singing or working with tools. These activities help open up a whole new area of self-expression and feeling of self-worth and accomplishment.
Our participants love being outside planting, walking and just enjoying the Therapy Garden. The NRV Master Gardeners come to teach us about plants and lead Garden Club, which taps into memories of growing gardens and a love of growing things. We also play games that build on language and math skills in a fun way. We can be very competitive! When we play ball games, our folks laugh and show good-natured competitive spirit.
We have great discussions on participants' past accomplishments, celebrating their life. We often cook together, measuring, stirring, and reading a recipe. Many of our participants have raised a family through hard times, served our country and helped build this community. So, they deserve our best and it is an honor to know and serve them and their families.
For a detailed list of our services, check out the rest of our website and our Facebook page, or come by and see us at 211 5th Street, Dublin, VA 24084, across from the old Dublin Middle School.

Good boy!
We continued to pay our bills and loans while closed for a year during COVID 2020. That hurt!
Even a small donation could help reach the fundraising goal.
If you can't make a donation, please share the fundraiser to help spread the word. Thank you for all your continued prayers and support!

One of many therapeutic creative arts activities here at PADS, this project promotes fine motor skills, creative self-expression, freedom to make choices, and pride in self.
...and is a great way to exercise. Plus, it encourages confidence and decreases fear of falling.

Graduating Radford University Nursing students (who have benefited from clinical experiences here with us) donate supplies that they and their classmates gathered for us. They truly are our hope for the future!
